Directions

  • If possible, meditate first thing in the morning when you wake up. Or right before you start a session of deep work or study.
  • Find a quiet place with minimal distractions and sit down (preferably on the floor, legs crossed). You should not be leaning against anything. Keep your posture straight but as relaxed as possible.
  • Start the audio with dual ear headphones/earbuds (preferably wired, not Bluetooth). If possible, put your phone on airplane mode ✈.
  • Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Inhale and exhale deeply through your nose. With minimal effort, relax and empty your mind of compulsive thought. Thought is not useful here.
  • It's okay for your mind to wander. Every time you notice it, refocus your awareness to your breath in the present moment. The more you do it, the stronger your mind becomes (like reps in the gym). Keep your eyes closed.
  • The chimes indicate the passage of the meditation, no need to check your watch or phone for the time.
  • Chimes occur at the start of the meditation, followed by preceding chimes 1, 3 and 7 minutes later. At the 13 minute mark, there will be three chimes to mark the end of the session.
  • 40Hz Binaural Beats and the soothing sounds of water (white noise) flowing down a stream will work to stimulate your neurochemicals at the same time. This will help to strengthen daily meditation as a positive habit.
